I can't add a phone number to my microsoft account on microsoft rewards.

I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

    I have the same issue, I am able to get a code and type it in. However when I confirm it, it tells me that the service is temporarily unavailable. Definitely a Microsoft issue NOT a User issue. Probably an issue with their Authentication Servers. My phone isn't listed as an alias but I use my phone to login to everything.
