I can't add a phone number to my microsoft account on microsoft rewards.

If you have ever used your phone number for anything at all that is owned by Microsoft, you can't add it to the account. Which means anyone who has ever had a Skype account cannot redeem either Microsoft Cash Back or Microsoft Rewards. What's worse, their support staff won't tell you that. They will just waste hours of your time until you've maxed out your codes and have to come back in 24 hours to do it again. It's a nightmare with no solution.

That sounds right, Reg.

Now for anyone posting replies to help, how can you ignore the clear evidence that there is something wrong on Microsoft's end. All of you "trying to help" have to realize you're not helping at all and your "solutions" just add to the frustration.

To all the people having issues with the thing of adding the phone number when redeem the rewards and not receiving the code...i was the same case, as a random thought I tried the bing app on the playstore on my phone and tried redeeming the reward directly from there, it asked for my phone number there and boom.

I instantly recieved the code.

Try it as a last method.

This should be an easy process. In trying to claim a reward I hit a wall because there was an error stating that you did not have a phone number to send me a code. In fact you do have the number because I have received similar codes from microsoft dozens of times before. So I went through the above process to add the number again and received the error that the cell number I was trying to enter is already therein the system. Hence Catch 22. Please could you look at this for me please. Thanks
