I can't add a phone number to my microsoft account on microsoft rewards.

I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

    I am driven nuts. My pc got hacked and for precautions i want a new alias to add. for 2 days I was trying to do that, I deleted 2 emails, don't have 10 just 5 ,. It tells me that I am adding too many times. Did someone highjacked my email???

    Your phone has a spam folder for sms.
    Try checking that the "OTP" text has not been automatically blocked.
    This was the case for me on my android phone, and unblocking the phone number resolved my issue.
