I can't add a phone number to my microsoft account on microsoft rewards.

I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

    The same thing happened to me. But what's ridiculous about it is that my phone number actually used to be on my account--But it was removed for no reason! So, I tried to add back a phone number that I didn't remove and once i type in the code it just says, "This alias could not be added to your account", with no reason even stated.

    I have tried this and the response is "Try another verification method: That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method.

    I try to add my phone number but it says its not working at the moment try another aliases. I got a new phone so I had to change my phone number can anybody please help
