I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

I am writing to highlight an issue that to date has not been resolved despite many different attempts in getting the issue resolved and many open tickets to the help desks.(Without success)
Issue
Unable to add a phone number to the Microsoft account to enable the redemption of gift cards or cashback earned on the account.
Having looked up this issue, I am not alone with this and to date there is no working solution put forward by Microsoft to rectify the problem
As I have accrued cashback and substantial points to redeem vouchers. I would like a working solution to get back what is rightfully mine.
I therefore look to you to investigate this issue and resolve it with the minimum of delays.

Yeah, it's been like half a year since this question was first made, and 299 people say they had the same problem, idk how Microsoft was able to break the phone verification sense it worked for my sister during like 2020, but this feels like the only way for anything to get fixed at this point tbh.

whenever i try to add a phone number it either tells me its not available or sends me into an infinite loop of robot verifications.
this is so dumb
