I can't add a phone number to my microsoft account on microsoft rewards.

I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

    Hi Larry,

    Your phone number must be attached to another email account. Once you remove that phone number from that account you can then add the phone number to the one you want to redeem your reward points from. This error was occuring for me and a lot of other users. I was able to finally redeem my points via this method.
