I can't add a phone number to my microsoft account on microsoft rewards.

I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

    spent an hour and a half today with a tech on the phone number i was trying to add. they called me on the same number that wont add, still nothining, they have no idea, I can put my number in then prompts to add code and no code ever arrives in texts, they cant tell me a thing about why its not working, they just tell me the number has not been added yet lol and start getting me to try to add another email account or adding the number diffrent way and putting on hold to verify , they need to just remove the phone number on point redemption, especially if your payment/billing is up to date. and fire who ever thought this was a good idea xD imo

    Been doing this to me for the past year and a half. They haven't fixed it, but they NEED to. I have over 4,000 points that I need to redeem for cards and stuff. Literally nothing has been working.

    For me, when I enter my password as verification after entering the code sent to the phone number im trying to add, it just says "cannot add this number as an alias" or something. After reading some pages of this thread, i still cannot find a fix. People are having the same problem and Microsoft is doing nothing to fix it. It is a MICROSOFT issue, not a user issue. I'm very disappointed and will definitely stop using Microsoft rewards and will tell my friends to do the same.

    IM HAVING THE GODDAMN PROBLEM!!! microsoft full on needs to fix it but they just blame their customers
