I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

Have tried to add a phone number to my account so many times (way more than I can count, and over a couple years' time now) and always get the same issue saying I "cannot add this alias." It's some bug in their code. MS needs to fix this issue and allow us to use our rewards! This is the ONLY WAY to obtain a gift card, so the rewards are essentially useless until they fix this issue. I've tried it on multiple different PCs, laptops, my iPhone, and none of them work. So stupid!
