Wow!, For someone not speaking on behalf of the company, you certainly come across as a total apologist for Microsoft!! - Not enough people who have this problem?? What are you talking about!?!?! There are obviously enough people who have this problem!!! – can you not see the number of people who have registered they agree with this problem above - 1009! - How many people register on the average complaint thread Dom?, nothing even remotely close to that figure!!!, but more importantly, there are loads, and I mean absolutely countlessly LOADS!! - I have looked, and read through TONS of them!!!! - other threads than this one about this problem, not just this one!!!! Google it and see how many threads you find - you'll be up literally all night – have fun!! Also, 25 pages of comments, again, just on this thread alone!!, how many pages of comments on the average thread, Dom? Nothing, again**,** remotely close to that figure!! Just a couple of thousand affected you reckon Dom, do you? 🤣🤣🤣 – there are several thousand people at least who have actually made the effort of agreeing or making comments on or have gone to the trouble of creating all these threads, which would obviously indicate there are millions of people who are actually affected, so, no, Dom, not a few thousand people, there are an absolutely HUGE number of people with this problem and Microsoft needs to sort it out!!!

As I said Microsoft already have and already use this feature - I have used it, recently!, and cost? - No Dom! - but it's "only for a couple of people anyway" isn't it Dom? - what, maybe 50 people, tops? 🤣🤣🤣- Do me a favour!, a colossal corporation like Microsoft, it wouldn't even cost them the salt on half a peanut!! Cost is utterly irrelevant!! - as you yourself say, the processes at Microsoft are totally dumb!! - THAT IS THE PROBLEM!!!! - nothing whatsoever to do with cost!!! - it is because their internal organisation is totally useless - you must surely have seen it with other threads about other topics, as I have, it sometimes takes years for them to action the hugely frustrating problems people have on other threads - NOT because of cost!!, it is because they are so completely useless at dealing with feedback, that is the reason, so, if you'd like to actually help us all Dom, stop bothering apologising for them, and just have a word with your ex-bosses so they actually do something without us having to wait more years!!!

"You have a beef with cell phones" - WHAT, are you talking about!!?!?!?, I have no beef whatsoever with cell phones!!, or anybody at all who has one!! - NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER!!! - YOU are the one with the beef about cell phones!!! - SO DONT TRY AND MAKE OUT IT'S ME THAT HAS A PROBLEM WITH THEM!!! - You're trying to make me (and everybody else who dares not to have a cell phone) out to be some sort of troglodytes who hate modern technology and must be made to have one, that, is the only reason you are posting is it not Dom??, because people aren't allowed not to have cell phones are they??? - how dare they?!?!? and you're gonna try and force anybody who dares not to have a cell phone to have one - it seems obvious from what you have written that is the only reason you have posted trying to stress what a waste of time minority we are and we should all be forced to have one. Well, sorry mate, I couldn't give a monkeys if every single person on planet earth except myself has a cell phone, I am never EVER getting one - clear enough for you? - Why is it such a problem for you I don't have one **** when I, have no problem whatsoever that you, have one??? - YOU have the beef with cell phones NOT ME!!!

What are you talking about "people locking their phones - something you can't do with a landline"?? - my point was about computers receiving emails, and that criminals extremely rarely steal computers, but they steal cell phones - ALL THE TIME!!!, so OBVIOUSLY they represent more of a risk than a computer because they are stolen a million times more often!!!, so obviously it is safer to send a message to a computer, which is comparatively, never stolen, and you also obviously didn't read what I said about the police officer telling my wife that all phones are hackable - locked, biometrically or in any way you choose - hackable! and they are ALSO, always being stolen!!! - so please try and understand the point being made in a post before responding to it.

And, as for Microsoft not reading my post - errrrr, well you just did, didn't you, DOM?? - LOL!!!, as you put it, repeatedly!

As a Microsoft Alumni I can attest that some of the processes there are completely dumb and most of the teams that manage different features (like rewards) that have access to similar technology don't always use the same functionality that another feature team will use for one reason or another, its usually up to the GM of them feature entirely. Does it suck for people with landllines, yes, do I see them changing it? Absolutely not.

In my opinion, I think their looking at the data as a whole and as many other posts you see about wanting to send codes to landlines, I promise you that number of people is SOOOOOOO MUCH smaller than the billions that have cell phones, and as many other tech giants, they develop for the masses and not the few. Do I think the reason they don't is because of security like the one person said, not really, maybe a little, but not the main reason.

In my opinion, the main reason comes down to the cost to keep that functionality for the feature just so a small group (and I mean small when I compare like thousands vs MILLIONS) as this is not an in house service, its done through a company that's whole business model is to send text like messages to landlines. This is becoming obsolete and I'm actually surprised ANY place is still using it. Its not practical business wise. Thats just my opinion and not speaking on behalf of the company.

I don't wanna go on and on about your rambling about what is more secure and your beef with cell phones (you assume because your wife had issues with stolen phones, and a few people you know have, that EVERYONE has that problem which you couldn't be more wrong. Most people secure their device with various ways of locking like biometric, pincode etc, you know, something you cannot do with landline lol) my point being you think Microsoft is reading all that? I promise you they are not lol.

Thanks for the advice to forget about Microsoft fixing this issue; it has been around since August 2023 on this site with 25 pages of reports.
