I can't add a phone number to my microsoft account on microsoft rewards.

I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

    For me, when I enter my password as verification after entering the code sent to the phone number im trying to add, it just says "cannot add this number as an alias" or something. After reading some pages of this thread, i still cannot find a fix. People are having the same problem and Microsoft is doing nothing to fix it. It is a MICROSOFT issue, not a user issue. I'm very disappointed and will definitely stop using Microsoft rewards and will tell my friends to do the same.

    Thanks for your reply and support. I wonder if there is a petition that has been started about this issue.

    I Will make enquiries re legal action against Microsoft.

    Will try and start a petition for getting Microsoft to take action..

    Yeah.

    Literally do that.

    If you have evidence that proves this is embezzlement and illegal and they haven’t done anything to fix this use, which I think is fair to say they won’t considering it’s been months and this entire thread has been 100% ignored by the “support” team, then you absolutely should sue them.

    No sarcasm at all.

    I will happily join any petition or legal document needed.

    mhm, I've had this issue for months and I've tried every method nothing has worked and no one has two damn phones to add another phone number so basically we won't be able to get gift cards ever again, the Microsoft team refuses to resolve the issue.
