I can't add a phone number to my microsoft account on microsoft rewards.

I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

    Heya everyone! I have found a way to redeem points without this whole phone-number-verification-snag. Just download the bing app and login to your account. You will find an option "Microsoft Rewards". From there you will be directed to "Redeem your points" and it works quite smoothly. I just redeemed a Flipkart gift card (after waiting for so long :D).

    Same problem.

    Cannot redeem any rewards points for vouchers because website does not accept phone number.

    The problem here is people that have had their number for years are not going to go change it, just for Microsoft because they can't let us re-use the one that accidentally got removed by the user. It is Microsoft's stupid policy is the problem. Let us have the chance to put the number back into the account. It is the stupid policies that messes everything up.

    I am having the same problem and I keep getting the standard template response as to "How to add your phone number to your MS Account". It doesn't work! It keeps telling me I can't add that "Alias" and I have to choose another number. I have run out of numbers to choose from! Please let me know if you get any resolution that works. Thanks.
