I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

Microsoft finally given me a proper response after raising hell with their (lying) support team! I was going to take it all the way to the top. This works for me, and it might work for you!
Please be advised that the phone number ########## is already linked with another account, what we need to do in order to get this resolved is for you to sign in using ########## and remove it from the account. First, please sign in here https://account.microsoft.com/profile/ using your phone number and follow these steps 1. Click "Edit account info" 2. Click on the phone number and click "remove" 3. Sign out of the account and add it to your desired account

I am really sorry for your angry response. After putting so much effort on earning points and when it's time to redeem,the number doesn't add to the account.
It also happened to me brother and I was so much frustrated but when i emailed them,they fixed my issue.Then I redeemed robux.
My advice is: Email them and keep trying to add your number everyday
