I joined the waitlist about 10 days ago and got access a few days ago. However, when I attempt to use Bing chat in Edge, it always pops up a screen and tells me that "Chat mode is only available when you have access to the new Bing." I have signed in with the account to which the access has been granted. How do I resolve the issue?

i have the same problem, but you can try to search anything, when the search results appear, you can switch to tap Chat and now you can use Bing Chat. Hope that help you.

That's really a bummer but thank you for the advice and suggestion anyway,
I've found that many users have experienced the same problem, and the possible root cause could be the massive number of users accessing this new platform and the chat as well. Because of this, a number of users have noticed this unexpected error.
