MICROSOFT REWARD POINT IS NOT INCREASING

Tips and recommendations for earning points while searching (and avoiding being subjected to a punitive cooldown period);

1. Spread out your searches throughout the day and avoid conducting rapid, back-to-back searches.

2. Refrain from using tricks to gain points quickly, such as spamming letters or numbers into Bing, clicking through articles quickly or using bookmarks to open articles in a rapid manner with the intention of accumulating points in a short timeframe.

3. Do not use programs, bots, or macros to help with searching.

4. Regularly check if you've hit your daily cap.

5. Leverage additional ways of searching using Microsoft Edge; you can right-click and select "Search the web" with Bing set as your default search engine to incorporate more searches into your day.

Note: Even with the recommendations above, not every search will guarantee points. ***Know that the timeframe of being in a cooldown state will vary, but as you follow the recommendations above, you should limit being placed into one.***I hope that this creates more clarity and understanding of the cooldown period.  This is the instructions they send me via e-mail!

Quite honestly, it appears that the Microsoft Rewards team does not care about its customers; the program or rectifying the matter when its presented to them. Seemingly many of us have reached out to support personnel regarding the concerns presented here only to receive a canned response and closure of the ticket with out a satisfactory mitigation.

I truly think that Microsoft, the Microsoft Rewards team and all other entities involved simply would like for you to go away. One clear sign was when they reduced the point system by half. Now, at least in my circumstance, I sometimes come to the Bing browser to find less points than I did the day before. I read all of the news, complete all of the actions on the dashboard, etc.; dashboard notes 320, the points breakdown notes 290 and reality notes 145. This is a good day, sometimes reality notes I've only earned 30 points with the other two sums in the same range. So it seems "Microsoft" is point blank frustrating everyone into submission in order to avoid any kind of payout.

Is this a case for a class action suit?

Sadly, I don't have enough points to pay for that through this program.
