How do you complete this Microsoft/Bing Rewards search for 10 points?:

UPDATE: Microsoft/Bing seem to have finally fixed this. I typed in 'illness' or 'illness symptoms' on the Edge mobile app and it completed, but I think it'll work anywhere using Bing now, with any relevant phrase or word.

It took them exactly 3 months to fix, whilst they continued to use it broken several times.

Feeling symptoms?

Search on Bing for any health

conditions or diseases to learn more

about the symptoms.

Learn today >

On Bing I have searched for symptoms, like dizziness and itchiness, etc, and diseases including leprosy to green monkey disease, plus, "Symptoms of Covid", etc.

I never get it to complete, be ticked off, and give me the points!

Broken or requires a very specific phrase.

NB: I think this is a UK-only problem. Anyone saying they completed it with a Bing search for a certain symptom or illness is probably not in the UK.

A program that grants points for using Bing search, which users can redeem for gift cards, sweepstakes entries, or charitable donations.

Hi there, I am John J.D., a fellow Microsoft user like you.

I understand you're having trouble completing the Rewards task. Let's work together to resolve this.

I don’t have the specific task on my Rewards dashboard, but usually, you just need to click "Learn today," which should open a search result. When you click "Learn today," does it display a page with information about the task?

If not, please try completing the task using a different device or web browser.

If the issue persists, I recommend opening a support ticket with the Microsoft Rewards team. They can investigate and may provide compensation points if the issue is on their end. Here’s the link to get in touch with them: https://rewards.bing.com/support

Let me know how it goes by clicking "Reply" below.

    John J.D.

"I don’t have the specific task on my Rewards dashboard, but usually, you just need to click "Learn today," which should open a search result."

'Learn today', when clicked, takes me to the Bing home page, but with the URL: https://www.bing.com/?form=ML2PCR&OCID=ML2PCR&PUBL=RewardsDO&CREA=ML2PCR&rwAutoFlyout=exb

I thought this was one of the specific searches that are different and quite recent, where you have to enter a phrase. Such as, from my screenshot above, 'Plan a quick getaway' required me to search for, e.g. "Flights to Dublin", and 'Discover open job roles' is something like, "McDonald's jobs."

It also states, "Search on Bing for any health

    conditions or diseases."

If you're correct, and it's meant to be a standard click to earn, then it's just broken.

I used the Rewards support link to ask them what the secret search phrase is to unlock the reward.

It’s possible that the task is encountering a bug. Normally, clicking "Learn today" should open a search results page with information about the task. If it instead takes you to the Bing home page, and searching for health conditions or diseases doesn’t complete the task, then it might indeed be an issue.

Opening a support ticket will help the Microsoft Rewards team understand the potential bug and work towards a fix. They can also ensure that similar issues are prevented in the future.

I will open a separate support ticket as well, including the steps you have tried.
