Why have all of my receipts that I scan to earn points been declined?

Most recently... Like in the last 3 days, I found my "open service ticket" number and replied with my updates as well and asked WHY can't the system explain WHY something is rejected.

I got a very nice response that "my concerns are very important to Microsoft and they are looking into my suggestions".

Gosh, I feel all warm and fussy inside now. NOT!

So after scanning one receipt and waiting the half hour or so for it to clear and then scanning another, I finally decided to check scanning a few and waiting to see if they were accepted and they were. WOW! lol

So I went ahead the next day and scanned all 6 and all 6 were accepted about 30+ minutes later. Shocker.

BUT… the third time doing it my first two receipts were from Rite Aid and they were declined… which they’ve been accepted in the past. Scanning two more receipts covered the 2 red ❌s and were …>phew< … accepted.

Last night I scanned six receipts, one right after another and all 6 were accepted.

I’m not saying that it’s fixed but right now things are working for me and I agree on why they cannot explain why a receipt is declined.

It’s been 2 1/2 months since Microsoft support said they would get back to me blah blah blah. 🙄

For your sake, I hope no winds pick up. Remember! Don't try and pick up a "free lesson" of any kind. 😉

Now, back to Microsoft. WHY, WHY, WHY can't they explain WHY something is "rejected". For a silly penny (in most cases) we are left to guess WHY. This must end. Microsoft... PLEASE just tell us WHY!

I started doing the same scanning one receipt at a time. All is good so far.

Same thing happened to me this week. Prior to a few weeks ago 1 or maybe 2 would be declined vs. all 6. I noticed that most of the declined receipts were mostly from mom & pop businesses. However, the last set I scanned were all major box/grocery stores & National fast-food chains. What is most frustrating is when I attempt to rescan them, and then all of the receipts are treated as duplicates.

I've resorted to scanning one receipt at a time and waiting until it is approved before I scan the next one, which is a hassle as I am walking around w/ a George Constanza wallet ready to explode.
