I cleared cache, reset default, updated, on/off, log in/out, points not showing up 24-hrs later, no response from Microsoft Support for 10+ days after multiple attempts. Microsoft Support recognize(d) first ticket but won't respond to first ticket. Given the above information, what is the best way to solve this puzzle? A 365 Subscriber and Outlook user for decades. No X-Box.

Nope, worked for one day and back to not working. Time for the programmers to be replaced just like a power pack or old memory.
I think we should all tell Microsoft to fix it since they don't seem interested in giving up the points that are missing. For me, it started on Dec. 14 and nothing is being done. I wish they would either fix those questions that get no points or stop altogether. At least, it would be neat and clear.
so many people have complained. microsoft could just fix the items that are not giving the points - but they don't seem to want to. They are sending AI replies with support numbers requests but no corrections are made. They could divert some of AI censuring the msnews messages and have them fix the problems. They don't give a damn.
I had problems recently. It would check off the first point in the Daily Sets but not the other two or it wouldn't do it at all. Emailed Microsoft, because I donate most of my points anyway, and after about 1 1/2 mos. of not working right, it now works fine. Well, I haven't tried today yet. I'll keep you posted.
For me, I have not been able to get points for pc search or mobile search which I normally rely on
