Why am I not getting rewards points for searches anymore?

Dealing with exactly same issues

It has been working ok for me after a brief interruption a while back but not today. A new wrinkle. Apparently I have woken up in a different country/region according to MS and I can't collect points while my house is flying around the planet.

Which of course is total BS. I don't use proxys or any of that and haven't changed my region/country. Which isn't to say that MS didn't do it in the background, but if they did my settings still show me the same as it has always been. They probably moved everyone to Mars, virtually of course, where there are no laws so they can do whatever they want. Or maybe they mean points are only available in one country/region each day literally, and today is Lithuania maybe, or Iceland, and we have to guess which country is eligible and go there to get points.

Of interest, the ever helpful link embedded in the notice takes me to the newest TOS (Published: July 30, 2023 Effective: September 30, 2023) and NOWHERE in there (using find for "country") does it stipulate ANY restriction to country. All it mentions is laws of the country of use apply.

Get your act together MS. Fix this.

LOL- I love that!! I was able to imagine your house flying around the earth... Great imagination. While I wasnt going to reply to any more of these comments as mine has been corrected 100% I saw that I should pretty much be warned that it will happen in some other way again and I could not resist letting you know that I loved your description. I hope they get their act together. They are pushing a lot of people out the door that could help their business.

Well, I guess I owe MS an apology. I decided to ask the ever helpful Bing Chat AI "What country am I in ?"

Not even close. First of all I asked for COUNTRY not County. Stupid AI. And I'm thousands of miles from Denton County, Texas, USA. In an entirely DIFFERENT country. But that apology, yes, I'm sorry MS for thinking you might be responsible for this. Obviously it's the AI has gone rogue and we're all doomed. Today our Reward Points, tomorrow THE WORLD ! ...if it can figure out where the world is of course, so we're probably pretty safe.

Thanks :-) At least I was able to provide some levity. Yeah, been considering turning off reply notices too because it's pretty clear no help is coming but I thought I'd keep up in case. Then today I'm in Texas ? Yahoo ! lol Ah well, I'm running the usual flushes and resets and all in case it might be something on my end though I doubt it. Then I'll ask the Bing AI again where it thinks I am ;-)
