The chat history of Copilot has disappeared.

NOTE: Non-Admin users of the Copilot version with commercial data protection do NOT get chat history / conversation history / topic history.

Your admin can change this, but they probably selected to have the data protection because of company policy and/or liability protection.

For these cases, I recommend downloading the individual responses that were helpful; unfortunately, you cannot

download a whole thread at once. A workaround is to press ctrl +A to select all, then copy/paste into a doc if you don't care about formatting.

I have the same issue, but I found this article: When commercial data protection is enabled, Copilot doesn't support the chat history feature. It doesn't retain chat prompts or responses.

LOL you gave me HOPE there GW.... I went off anf restarted and tested..... but alas your good fortune is not a shared experience. Still no history, and what is a plugin button? lol.

F$%^&*# dam it. Just lost 30mins work. I got distracted on another task and change of screen for 5 minutes! Come back GONE. Cumon Microsoft!!

It sucks especially when my company computer is locked out of Chat GPT. The ony way is to constantly copy paste into word or such, or use my personal pc next to me with ChatGPT eeerrrghhhh!!!!

I hear you, Ozi! Dealing with a similar situation myself. To me, having to go back and forth, copying and pasting, in addition to being enormously annoying, it greatly negates most productivity gains.
