Why has MicroSoft Rewards daily points gone down to 195 daily instead of 210?

I don't know if I'm missing out on something because I'm level 2 and my daily total points has decreased from 210 to 195 due to the activities.

I thought it's a bug like how I am supposed to see 2 points instead of 5 points.

They actually have lowered it from 5 to 2. I am a Bing user myself having ditched the competition. Now it seems Bing has become greedy as long as it has got a proper fan base.

To summarise, it's because they've done the following:

    • Limited search points to just 9 per 15 minutes so you can't do all your searches at once
    • Closed the Xbox rewards app, which further means you can't auto redeem £5 gift cards for 5435 instead of the usual 5935
    • Reduced daily tasks from 10 to 5
    • Reduced bonus tasks from 10 to 2
    • Made it so you have to actually go out of your way to do the search quests, which doesn't even work most of the time
    • Removed the bonus for using Microsoft Edge

Personally they've been really sly with this; it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to know that the only reason people use Bing is for Microsoft Rewards

I've been using Bing myself for 4 years for this exact reason, but if it gets any worse it just seems pointless. I remember when I could get £5 a month from this scheme.

They decrease the points, also from the extra tasks they change from 5/10 to 2 or 3. Its a very bad change.
Also, they deduce from 250 to 150 the bonus if you play 5 days in a week to your xbox

No I didn't use that app. I've been using the microsoft edge app, but I can now see using the bing app that I can get 30 more points (thanks for the tip btw) if I read a certain amount of news every day. Although it feels a bit unreliable to use I clicked on all the news scrolls that were going on. And then I went into search for news specifically and I clicked on 50 news articles and I only managed to get 6 points so far.

Any tip on how to get it to go faster and how many news articles do you have to open to get 1 point? I tried to do it manually as in search for something pick the news section and open them us as new tabs but that doesn't seem to count. It only seems to give any new points if you click on read to earn and then scroll. But this process was very slow. I can do the search thing in maybe 3 minutes while I have daily news I would listen to anyways playing in the background.
