Why has MicroSoft Rewards daily points gone down to 195 daily instead of 210?

I don't know if I'm missing out on something because I'm level 2 and my daily total points has decreased from 210 to 195 due to the activities.

    I hope you are wrong but I doubt it. When it isn't worth my time I'll go to other options. Search is a commodity and unless there is more value no reason to use it. Pay to play.

    Because it's what they wanted to do.

    Soon PC search will be cut down to 30 points and mobile search to 15.

    Then the "more activities" section will not give points anymore.

    Then the daily streak set will only give 1 point per activity.

    Then the PC search points will go down to 10 and mobile search to 5.

    Yes, I have noticed it lowered, especially today since it's Monday. I have noticed fewer points, and being level 2 only gives you five points now for the unlocked activities. Please revert this, Microsoft!!

    To summarise, it's because they've done the following:

    • Limited search points to just 9 per 15 minutes so you can't do all your searches at once
    • Closed the Xbox rewards app, which further means you can't auto redeem £5 gift cards for 5435 instead of the usual 5935
    • Reduced daily tasks from 10 to 5
    • Reduced bonus tasks from 10 to 2
    • Made it so you have to actually go out of your way to do the search quests, which doesn't even work most of the time
    • Removed the bonus for using Microsoft Edge

    Personally they've been really sly with this; it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to know that the only reason people use Bing is for Microsoft Rewards

    I've been using Bing myself for 4 years for this exact reason, but if it gets any worse it just seems pointless. I remember when I could get £5 a month from this scheme.

    • What do you mean closed the Xbox rewards app? I still get points and the streak for opening it up every day, and for me its 5240 for the gift card but I don't have it on auto redeem since it only lasts for 90 days.
    • Granted I only started doing this in October but the daily set for me has only been 3, what is the difference between daily set and daily taks?
    • What are the bonus tasks you speak of?
    • What you mean go out of your way to do search quests, are you referring to the news in the bing app?
    • Isn't the bonus for using edge that you get the 150 bonus for a streak and then 1000 points for the puzzle? Cause I still have those show up for me.
