How can I disable Copilot in Bing search engine?

The most annoying feature by Microsoft on a miniature scale when using mobile devices.

Scrolling through search results when using Bing search engine on mobile devices automatically switches over to the Copilot tab. There should be a switch in Search Settings (attached pictures) to disable Copilot in all search results.

I understand your frustration. Unfortunately, there isn't an option to disable Copilot in Bing's search engine settings, as it's integrated into the browsing experience. We're all users here, and Microsoft employees don't often visit the community, you can provide direct feedback to the Bing team by using the Feedback option at the bottom of the search results page.

In the meantime, I recommend downloading the Microsoft Edge app or the Bing app, as this feature isn't present in those platforms. I understand how frustrating this can be, and I hope this workaround helps improve your search experience.

Just a quick update:

The Microsoft Bing team has added a feature to disable the function that opens Copilot/Bing chat when scrolling down or attempting to refresh the page.

You can disable this feature by clicking on the Menu icon (≡) and toggling off "Scroll to open Copilot".

    I believe one of us is "wrong" and it is not me. No matter I am as done with this debate as I am with Bing. I do not appreciate the insinuation that I am either lying or to stupid to understand what my own eyes can see. Searching a single word without a question is disingenuous. Plus, it was hard not to notice you are not showing what you got in return just that you can type into search bars. As if I had not mastered that skill in the 90's.

    But we do not have the OPTION not to use it as it. It is on top and invades our space in an annoying manner. Which is what this entire thread is about. It is not about the future of AI it is about not giving options on how we CHOOSE to search for information. I am pro choice. Which is why I abandoned Bing.

    I said what I meant and meant what I said. Since they allow me to turn it off on my PC allowing me to stop it from intruding on my web searches is not "backtracking" it is allowing people options versus shoving something annoying down our throats. For example, I was searching for some help with a web project I am working on because I have not used MySQL in a while. Almost everything it returned was outdated and not relevant to what I was looking to do yet it is there front and center getting in the way of me finding current relevant information. Frankenstein has no way of knowing how to parse the infinite BS online from relevant information pertinent to my needs.

    What about my post implies I did anything but simply hit enter after entering the query? I notice you did not post what hitting enter returns since the process you recommend is EXACTLY what i did. The only way not to trigger it is to search from the URL bar.
