Why is Microsoft Rewards limiting how much I can earn?

I've been doing microsoft rewards for around 2 years and I've gotten consistent points, but since last month Microsoft has been slowly degrading how many points I can get.

For example, they've been only giving 1 POINT now for each task I do instead of 10 points, basically no monthly punch cards, and they just deleted my edge search points.

Is this on purpose to limit how many points older accounts with more points can get?

(I dont want a "Thank you for your opinion, we are going to look into this issue" robot response please)

Yeah, riiiiight. "growth and expansion" More like "greed and expensive". Jesus Microsoft, don't you make enough already??? Why do all these large corporations just want more More MORE???? Tired of giving all us peons "so much"? Not like we haven't been backing you up since your inception. Not like we haven't been spending LOADS of hard-earned money on the **** you put out basically because you have forced us to. No. Now after only a couple of years you've got to take away one of the very few things you've given back to the many who have helped make you what you are today. Definitely plan on switching back to Yahoo or something else. Would be Google, but they're getting to be the same way too.

Without the point incentive, i feel like its a lot of click bait? boooooo

I've noticed this trend of rewards points getting worse too. For the past few weeks, the bonus points went away, the daily tasks netted fewer rewards points, and many of my searches weren't earning me points at all. This worsening trend has been getting increasingly annoying. As if things couldn't get any worse, I now got a notification saying that on Microsoft Edge that I have a cap for 9 points (3 searches) every 15 minutes. This (and yesterday) are the first times I will not be hitting the daily rewards points search cap and I'm now considering deleting Microsoft Edge off my MacBook Pro and deleting the Bing app off my iPhone. It's not just you guys: Microsoft Rewards points are progressively getting worse and it seems to be intentional and it's getting increasingly annoying.

Update: also just discovered my streaks were reset 42 days ago so I only have 42 days, which killed my motivation to keep going. I'm deleting the Bing apps from my phone and computer as I write this update, especially now that they ruined the Rewards system. I only really switched to Bing because I was excited about their AI assistant introduced back in February, but I have a ChatGPT account anyways so I'm not really missing out. The cooldown rule that they just introduced yesterday really pushed me over the edge (no pun intended) and I'm going back to the "uncool" Google and using ChatGPT when I need an AI

Its happening to me as well. I used to be able to receive up to 170 reward points, now it shows on reward board for 150 points. Also I have seen the same as others have mentioned... only 1 point per question, or correct reply or completed deed. I think there was also 3 points instead of 5 points. And, my 'searches', I don't think I ever received points for searches, nor by using its AI. But losing 10 points at the beginning is not right, its a rip-off.. 150 reward points instead of 170... WoW! Its hard enough to tally up reward points to amount to anything worthwhile. Now its almost ridiculously hard. So, why did it change?
