Why is Microsoft Rewards limiting how much I can earn?

I've been doing microsoft rewards for around 2 years and I've gotten consistent points, but since last month Microsoft has been slowly degrading how many points I can get.

For example, they've been only giving 1 POINT now for each task I do instead of 10 points, basically no monthly punch cards, and they just deleted my edge search points.

Is this on purpose to limit how many points older accounts with more points can get?

(I dont want a "Thank you for your opinion, we are going to look into this issue" robot response please)

    Is anyone having trouble earning points while using their iPad (Safari browser)? I can’t seem to earn any points for searches even though I’m adhering to the new criteria. I’ve contacted Microsoft and their suggestion is to clear cache and log off and log back in, but nothing works. If anyone has the same issue and found a resolution, please share. Thanks!

    Yes they have made some changes and will not let you get more than a few Search and Earn credit at a time. Close all your tabs and close the app Wait an hour try to get get a few more and repeat.

    Keep hammering the Rewards support wit your issues.

    It’s time for a class action suit. Been going on for a month or more. It submitted multiple tickets.

    Take a look at your Rewords Badges. All my Earned dates are 7/12/2023 funny how I can earn them all at once. I submitted a ticket but no response.

    Been a long time user of rewards, but now that they've changed the system, I have literally no incentive to use bing.

    Search and Earn limited to 3 searches in 15 minutes, so even with normal use I'm struggling to hit the daily searches etc, and all the Xbox specific quests etc are rubbish now too.

    Just not worth the hassle.

    Indeed they've been throttling my points, including pc search and phone search. I don't expect it to get any better. There is nothing in their terms saying they can or will do this, so it's unethical IMHO.

    Yeah I've basically stopped doing the searches. the 15 minute cooldown has ruined that. Also my mobile searches don't even register anyway. This was such a great system they had that felt rewarding, but not anymore. I hope they reconsider what they've done, or at least find some kind of middle ground. I've never seen anything nerfed this much this quickly.
