Why is Microsoft Rewards limiting how much I can earn?

I've been doing microsoft rewards for around 2 years and I've gotten consistent points, but since last month Microsoft has been slowly degrading how many points I can get.
For example, they've been only giving 1 POINT now for each task I do instead of 10 points, basically no monthly punch cards, and they just deleted my edge search points.
Is this on purpose to limit how many points older accounts with more points can get?
(I dont want a "Thank you for your opinion, we are going to look into this issue" robot response please)

2023-12-15T14:19:41+00:00 I honestly want to stop using MS rewards because the point limiting is just ridiculous... first they took away the edge bonus points now the daily tasks are worth 1-2 points, microsoft has gotten even greedier somehow... smh

2023-12-14T22:09:28+00:00 Lets face it, basically Microsoft did this rewards system to promote their search engine/product lines. so they have either gotten a market share they are comfortable with, or they are abandoning the promo for lack of return (much like the windows phones they practically gave away to get the product line "off the ground" !!!) . I'm not happy about it but they just dont want us points junkies on the books anymore lol.... RIP

2023-12-12T23:15:04+00:00 I think Microsoft wants us all to switch to Google search. I've been fine with Bing search results, but the only reason I have it set as a default on my computer and phone is because of the rewards. If this continues, I'm changing my default for searches and bye-bye Bing!
They've adjusted wording, which currently says: "Earn up to 150 points per day, 5 points per search. Earning starts with your third search." If they aren't counting searches past 3 in 15 minutes or whatever they keep changing it to, then "5 points per search" is a literal lie. If they want to limit the amount of rewards, that's their choice, but they need to clearly state whatever limitation there is.
