Why is Microsoft Rewards limiting how much I can earn?

I've been doing microsoft rewards for around 2 years and I've gotten consistent points, but since last month Microsoft has been slowly degrading how many points I can get.

For example, they've been only giving 1 POINT now for each task I do instead of 10 points, basically no monthly punch cards, and they just deleted my edge search points.

Is this on purpose to limit how many points older accounts with more points can get?

(I dont want a "Thank you for your opinion, we are going to look into this issue" robot response please)

To speed things up I move over to the ipad and open Safari to the Bing home page scroll down just enough to bring up the multiple news strip and start clicking on them waiting about 3 seconds between and watching the reward points to make sure they are incrementing. Takes about two minutes to get 150 points. Sick that I have to change browsers to get the points in any timely manner. But that’s my work around till the actual Bing browser is friendlier.

I wish it was just a delay between searches. More like it's you get points for one or two searches every 15 or 20 minutes, dragging out doing searches for most of a day. Which I make a point of still doing, just to spite them.

What a joke this has become.

299th same question and still nothing much has changed. The delay between searches (the cooldown) is also extremely disappointing and takes away all the fun of racking-up points.

In my opinion they will have to start rewarding the users of Microsoft Rewards more (like before) because after reading most of the comments, I think a majority of the users are not happy and they are thinking of quitting the program because it is not so rewarding anymore and requires time and effort. This will lead to a decrease in the number of people using Edge because everyone already knows that Google Chrome is so much faster and easier to use.

They have taken the fun out of it. I’ve always used my points to buy Xbox games. I have about 50,000 points and will use them on Amazon gift cards. Also, not renewing my Ultimate subscription. Going to return my 3rd Xbox purchase too! I’m done!!
