Why is Microsoft Rewards limiting how much I can earn?

I've been doing microsoft rewards for around 2 years and I've gotten consistent points, but since last month Microsoft has been slowly degrading how many points I can get.

For example, they've been only giving 1 POINT now for each task I do instead of 10 points, basically no monthly punch cards, and they just deleted my edge search points.

Is this on purpose to limit how many points older accounts with more points can get?

(I dont want a "Thank you for your opinion, we are going to look into this issue" robot response please)

If they need to reduce points that’s ok by me. Put it out there, announce the change and let me choose how to continue.

I’m confused by the sabotage that’s going on with the system. Stopping point accumulation but presenting it as nothing has changed.

Some refer to that these days as “gaslighting”.

Sounds like a class action suit.

Because google Is just better. I was only using microsoft for the points system but now that they are limiting the ammount of points u can earn I see no point to stick with it.

See the problem is, semantics. You can earn X amount. You won't, but you can. In theory.

Typical Microsoft behavior. Redeem too much, and they make it harder to redeem. They literally penalize you for using their rewards program. At least they're not kicking people out left and right like last time. At least, not yet.

You don’t actually have to do it for 1000 days in order to redeem anything! Make sure you’re completing every task, like searching, reading news, daily tasks, etc. and it’ll rack up to be enough for numerous gift cards.

Also, Microsoft implemented this new rewards system so everyone can only earn 1 or 2 points from the other activities, it’s not a glitch. Hopefully that helped ;)
