Microsoft Rewards is a scam!

Same here! When I first tried Microsoft rewards, I was only doing the daily goals so I wasn't earning much. Once I started doing the PC and mobile searches, I earned a lot faster. I get two $5 Amazon gift cards a month now. It's not a scam!

I agree, my only problem now is being able to redeem. I have been unable to redeem since late June.

Over the past several years, I built up a Rewards point total over 330,000, hoping to eventually redeem them for some new equipment. When I checked into my account a week or so ago, I unfortunately discovered that my point total was reduced by 320,000. When I checked my account activity, I learned that someone in Nigeria gained access to my Rewards account in some way and used most of my points to make several redemptions. I immediately contacted Rewards Support when I discovered my point discrepancy. I indicated that my computer was well protected by Norton and did not show any evidence of a hack. I believed that someone had to gain access to my Rewards account through a hack of MS's Rewards data. I asked MS Rewards Support to replace my stolen points, but they effectively blew off my request. Support just stated that they do not refund or replace redeemed points. No consideration was given to the evidence of a hack of their data.So, I am left with several years of wasted effort. I am disappointed, and my trust in the security of the MS Rewards program is gone. I had purchased Surface equipment previously with the help of Rewards points, but I am not going to consider doing so again. I can only encourage other Rewards people to protect their account points as much as possible. There just is no safety in building a large point account.

I hope you changed your passwords and did other protection of your account since this breach. How did you figure out it was someone in Nigeria? I would give it some time, as MS is having so many problems with points, and redeeming for multiple countries. Write them again after at least a couple of weeks. Maybe even reference your original email and subsequent reply. Although your blessing may be getting as new representative more willing to help you out. Keep track of your earned points each day in word or note pad doc (I do.) Good luck.

I'm not a gamer, but thanks for the thought. I may try to get a different type of GC, as I always go for Amazon GC. Somewhere I read the Amazon cards may be the problem, since most people go for those.
