i spend points to get my rewards and the code i recieve is onle 21 characters long it needs to be 25 so i just spent points for no reason if thats the case i demand my points back

Yep, wasn't working for me for over a week and after checking everyday, today it's finally working.
I received an email from Microsoft a couple of days ago saying they were working on it. Mine has been fixed, I was able to redeem my points for a gift card today.
