The surface book screen lifted from bulging/bloating battery In Australia.

My Surface Book was bought on 15 May 2017 from **** smith in Australia(less than 3 years). The screen lifted from bulging/bloating battery. There are two yellow tint at the edge of the screen. My Surface Book can't even close the lid due to the battery being so large. I know that the physical retail Microsoft Stores in the US have been replacing these at no charge (even out of warranty) if the battery is swollen. If the device is still within 3 years from the date it was bought, Microsoft would offer a free replacement. I contacted Australia Microsoft support yesterday. I was told I needed to pay $930 AUD for the replacement. Because my Surface Book is out of one-year warranty. So I am wondering if I need to pay for the replacement. Who can I contact to solve this problem? I sent two emails to surface book support but no reply. Serial: xxxxxxxx4757

By the way, I edited your post to remove the Serial Number but I was able to check it here on our end and it shows that your Surface Book was over 3 years. That is why the support can only offer you with the Out-of-Warranty option for 930.00AUD. If you wish to proceed with that offer, I suggest that you contact support again so we could assist you in creating the order.
