    Hi rahul mehta1,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community.

I would like to make sure first that we get the exact picture of the issue that you are having on your Surface Go. Allow me to rephrase the issue if we understand it correctly.

When you open the Camera app of the device to take a photo, you could not click the capture icon to take the photo, but this only works if you have the typecover attached and use the touchpad to click the capture icon, correct?

Does this happen only on the Camera app?

How about when you select other icons on the Camera app like the settings icon, do they work fine?

May I know which Windows version, edition and OS build is your Surface Go running on? To check, go to Windows Settings >System > About.

Please provide us also with the app version of the Camera app on the device. To get the app version, open the camera app and click the gear icon for settings then scroll down to the bottom to get the app version.

For now, kindly do these steps below then see if the issue persists:

    1: Run Surface Diagnostic Toolkit

See: Fix common Surface problems using the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit (microsoft.com)

    2: Check for Windows Update

Go to Windows Settings > Update & Security and select Check for updates

Make sure all updates need are installed including Optional updates

3: Update the app from the Microsoft Store

See: Get updates for apps and games in Microsoft Store - Microsoft Support

4: Repair or Reset the app

    Open Windows Settings > Apps

Select Camera from the list of app then select Advanced options

Scroll down and select the Repair button first then test if issue persist

If issue persists, do the same steps again then select Reset

We may recommend other troubleshooting steps once we have received your responses to the questions above.

    Kind regards,

    Marrion
