Same with me - with Bluetooth earbuds in, every time I turned my head the signal cut out. Didn’t matter which earbuds I used. Had to return the duo 2 in the end as I use Bluetooth earbuds on my commute every day. If they fix it (and the widgets randomly disappearing for no reason) I’ll be back for duo 3, as in all other ways this was my perfect device.
Surface Duo 2 Bluetooth Issues
When connected to a Bluetooth audio device like my car or Surface Ear Buds I have the following problem:
Connects properly without issues. Listen to music or Audible for a few minutes and the audio stops. The audio doesn't pause, the Bluetooth doesn't disconnect but the sound just stops.
Disconnecting Bluetooth in audio device and surfaceduo2 and restarting helps but the problem will repeat. Makes BT unusable.
Anyone else have this problem??

2022-08-15T12:30:38+00:00 Based on the Microsoft response from March 23, 2022, they are aware of the problem and are looking into a fix. I'll admit I don't understand how long it takes to create a fix and send it out to the masses, but you would 5 months on one item (bluetooth) should be more than enough time. The problem with text messaging (MMS) with iPhones has a "work around" as long as your willing to use Messages+ (Verizon app) instead of Google Messages.
After months of discussions with Microsoft about my issues, I finally acquiesced and had them send me a new Duo 2 (even though I was confident it is not a hardware problem). Sure as expected, the new/refurbished Duo 2 arrived with the same issues straight out of the box. I have discovered however that if I have my wife turn off her bluetooth (she has the S22 Ultra) it will allow me to stay connected to my bluetooth speaker - otherwise anytime she receives a notification, the speaker dumps my Duo 2 and immediately connects with her S22.
I have created numerous tickets with Microsoft and haven't received any contact from them what-so-ever. Their support team is extremely lacking not to mention lacking in the knowledge of what the problem is and how to fix it.

2022-08-17T21:12:49+00:00 Got a brand new sd2 7 days ago and noticed the Bluetooth cutting off since day 1. Went through multiple forums and Looks like there is no fix in sight. I’m returning mine while I still can.

2022-08-18T19:05:34+00:00 Same Issue, The trends I have noticed.
It is worse outside, and get even worse when in my pocket
- I don't have the issue on my Bose QC II, or my Hyphen II
- My car stereo is hit or miss depending on placement of my phone
- It is present on my Sony link buds and my Samsung buds live really bad/unusable (I miss using my ear buds...)
I have tried the following with no change
- Adjusted Bluetooth power saving options.
- Adjusted codec settings to prioritize connectivity over audio quality
- toggled HD audio settings
- reset network settings

2022-08-27T11:14:21+00:00 Having the same issues with multiple pairs of true wireless earbuds. Same on Pixel Buds Pro, Sony WF1000-MX4 and Jabra. Really disappointed in this for such an expensive device. Turning off HD audio makes it a little better but still unusable if in left pocket.
