Surface Duo answering calls automatically even when the device is closed, what about privacy?

Obviously that is not true, I posted a reply over a month ago and no response.   I think it is time to start returning Microsoft Products and leave the entire

ecosystem all together if this is the type of support Microsoft is going to supply.

I just called in about the issues on my phone, because no one here responds.   Decided to just send back and get refund.  I hope many others do the same.

I thought you said if he responded to this thread you would address it?  It has been over a month and nothing.

First thing to do is "READ THE PROBLEM" He is not asking how to answer a call.  What he and everyone else who owns a Surface Duo, like myself, are saying is "THE PHONE ANSWERS CALLS WITHOUT TOUCHING IT, WHILE IT IS CLOSED"

Sorry for caps, but I have looked through multiple threads and you all give the same answer, copied out of a manual.

Now, for some more info for you to take in:

1. People who have purchased the Surface Duo are going to be typically a person who knows how to use an electronic device and have a decent amount of technical skills
2. People have paid an extremely high price for this device, understanding that it may have some glitches because it is a new device style, but cannot accept a major flaw like a phone answering calls when it is not being moved, touched and stays closed. 

3.  I have reset to factory and left it sitting, did not connect anything to it, didn't even add an account, just left as it would be in a Demo, it answered 4 calls on it's own out of 20.  That is a 20% failure rate out of the box.

Have any of you really looked into the issue, I know it is tough because it is so random, but it is happening a lot.  My initial thought is the phone is answering automatically because one of the sensors (Gyro, Accelerometer, or even the screen proximity sensor) is set too sensitive??  A typical proximity sensor detects the distance a Face is away from the screen to turn it off and on, however no one has used it with another glass screen on the other side of it reflecting back so it probably thinks the distance is further away and answers calls. 

 I am just throwing a suggestion or two out there because it seems like no one in your department is bothering to try anything, ask users anything to try except the manual.  We don't need to RTFM, we know it is a glitch and so do you.

Please have someone take this seriously and figure out what is going on, fast.

Feel free to contact me for any things to try, I have reset it enough already so it is just waiting to be tested.

And BTW, I have only had the Duo for a month and it has been this.  

I do love Microsoft products, and want to continue to purchase and enjoy them, but if Microsoft is not willing to actually help the users, at what point do we all just walk away?

Thank you for the reply. There is no update, the device has the latest update. I use the phone app. I know the manners to take calls as you explained. Nevertheless the phone answers some calls on his own, without manually doing so. That's the problem. It is a hardware or software issue, not a problem of the user.

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community and posting your concern here.

Surface Duo has two ways to answer calls. If your Surface Duo is opened, tap Answer in the notification at the top. If you tap Decline, that sends the call to voicemail, and if your Surface Duo is closed, open it, then fold the left screen back to answer the call. All calls need to be answered manually. But in your case, if you're experiencing an issue with this, please force your device to shut down and Update Surface Duo. Also, see Make a phone call on Surface Duo for more details. If you're also utilizing the Phone app, we recommend you to check Make & receive phone calls on Phone app.
