Can I disable "hey Cortana" on my surface headphones?

Using my Surface Headphones on my Windows 10 PC is becoming very difficult. Throughout the day Cortana is randomly summoned during my normal conversations. This is problematic as I record online training and often have to start over when my PC suddenly thinks i want to ask Cortana a question.

Please, how can i turn off the Surface Headphones "hey Cortana" feature? If this is not possible, these headphones are going back.

Thanks!

I have the same issue. I need to disable Cortana before these headphones are usable.

    Hi, Chadcgpov

Can you check in Cortana settings if you can toggle off "Hey, Cortana"? Some host devices are graying out this option when connected to any Bluetooth device.

I have tried disabling "hey Cortana" in Win 10 and when the headphones are paired it makes no difference. I cannot disable it.
