The info page for the new Samsung RT tablet - the ATIV tab - says:
Enterprise Solutions (upon request): Exchange ActiveSync, On-Device Encryption, Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network), Juniper Junos Pulse VPN, EAS
But the Junos Pulse client is not in the Windows Store - so either Samsung has some exclusive deal with Juniper, or this is a "coming soon" feature.
I'd like an answer. As much as I love the Surface hardware, if I cannot get the last piece of the puzzle I need for work, the Pulse client, and it is available on another vendor's tablet, I'll need to think about switching.
I would really like an answer from Microsoft on this one.
And to re-confirm - the ATIV is a Windows 8 RT tablet, NOT a Windows 8 Pro tablet.

Good point. I updated the title of the thread. Hopefully a mod or employee will respond. I can't believe that a competing hardware vendor with the same OS as the OEM would somehow have more robust features.

2012-10-31T19:54:18+00:00 So I spoke to someone that sounded a little more knowledgeable that the others... he said that the Samsung must have a VPN "chip" that enabled support for Cisco and JunOS Pulse, so the Surface RT will never see a VPN client.
That seems hokey to me since VPNs are software driven (although could be HW accelerated but aren't on most handsets).
Is there someone from Microsoft out there willing to weigh in on this? I know you're reading because I can see MS employees and forum mods posting to other threads...
