VPN Client Support

The info page for the new Samsung RT tablet - the ATIV tab - says:

Enterprise Solutions (upon request): Exchange ActiveSync, On-Device Encryption, Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network), Juniper Junos Pulse VPN, EAS

But the Junos Pulse client is not in the Windows Store - so either Samsung has some exclusive deal with Juniper, or this is a "coming soon" feature.

I'd like an answer. As much as I love the Surface hardware, if I cannot get the last piece of the puzzle I need for work, the Pulse client, and it is available on another vendor's tablet, I'll need to think about switching.

I would really like an answer from Microsoft on this one.

And to re-confirm - the ATIV is a Windows 8 RT tablet, NOT a Windows 8 Pro tablet.

    This is great news indeed, and I think proof that Cisco does not need API access, clearly that is present.

    Before I mark as answered - do you know what type of VPN you are using? IPSec or SSL?

    Are you using token or card based authentication, or standard username and password?

    Just because Juniper's VPN now works doesn't mean Cisco's client can work the same way, or has the same requirements from the OS. This may answer the original poster's question about Juniper, but Cisco VPNs are still waiting...

    Can you make a howto?  I'm not a programmer or a network administrator.  The VPN in Windows 8.1 work differently from what i'm use to.  I'm lost

    Official 8.1 is on my Surface and I am happy to report the Juniper VPN works like a charm.  Server address, ie the webpage you go to install the app on a normal desktop, user and pass and right on the network firing up remote desktop to my PC left back at the office.

    I do not need a Bay Trail, I'll be getting a Surface 2 for sure. Looking forward to the added battery life and new kickstand and working (or pretending to work) anywhere.

    I just attended the Microsoft Surface 2 sneak preview. I spoke with the head of Surface marketing and one of the PLMs. They took my business card and said that they would be back to me by this Friday with definitive information.
