This is great news indeed, and I think proof that Cisco does not need API access, clearly that is present.
Before I mark as answered - do you know what type of VPN you are using? IPSec or SSL?
Are you using token or card based authentication, or standard username and password?

Just because Juniper's VPN now works doesn't mean Cisco's client can work the same way, or has the same requirements from the OS. This may answer the original poster's question about Juniper, but Cisco VPNs are still waiting...
