VPN Client Support

The info page for the new Samsung RT tablet - the ATIV tab - says:

Enterprise Solutions (upon request): Exchange ActiveSync, On-Device Encryption, Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network), Juniper Junos Pulse VPN, EAS

But the Junos Pulse client is not in the Windows Store - so either Samsung has some exclusive deal with Juniper, or this is a "coming soon" feature.

I'd like an answer. As much as I love the Surface hardware, if I cannot get the last piece of the puzzle I need for work, the Pulse client, and it is available on another vendor's tablet, I'll need to think about switching.

I would really like an answer from Microsoft on this one.

And to re-confirm - the ATIV is a Windows 8 RT tablet, NOT a Windows 8 Pro tablet.

I just tried to connect to a Juniper VPN after today's patch.  ....no luck.  I still get 'Error connecting to [vpnname] Unknown Error.'

I wish Microsoft is reading this. if we can support Cisco VPN and WebEx that adds thousands if not millions of new users who will buy Surface.

I mean by not putting SIM Card slot and Radio you are putting forward this product as office / Home office tool. without VPN it is kind of useless.

Oh and one more thing we need is support for JVM. Most application used in industry needs JVM.

I will post again after next "Patch Tuesday" to give everyone an update.  I wonder if Microsoft is reading this thread anymore...

When I connect on my Surface RT w/ 8.1, it even connects to the Juniper VPN so far that it allows me to select the Realm....but then it comes back with 'Error connecting to [vpnname] Unknown Error.'

Has anyone else seen this?  Also, has anyone been successful connecting to a Juniper Pulse VPN with a Surface RT using 8.1?

    Thank you,

    Will

Same exact issue.  With the Junos Pulse client on iOS and Android, you configure the server URL and you put in your login/account information.  The Windows 8.1 is missing this.  Why?  I just can't seem to wrap my mind around why this works on both iOS and Android perfectly and Microsoft can't seem to get their act together and make this work?!?!?

    This is just so frustrating.
