You folks need to keep a bit of perspective on this. The surface has only been out for 3 weeks.
So to set at least part of the record straight, the surface rt does have VPN support, but it's the regular old ipswc of windows. So this means ipsec, l2tp, pptp. Others are wrapper for either ipsec or SSL. You can use plain vanilla ipsec under windows to connect to junos or Cisco, but you need an it group willing to learn how. It works, but someone needs to know how phase I and II PKI exchange works for ipsec vpn's.
