The info page for the new Samsung RT tablet - the ATIV tab - says:

But the Junos Pulse client is not in the Windows Store - so either Samsung has some exclusive deal with Juniper, or this is a "coming soon" feature.
I'd like an answer. As much as I love the Surface hardware, if I cannot get the last piece of the puzzle I need for work, the Pulse client, and it is available on another vendor's tablet, I'll need to think about switching.
I would really like an answer from Microsoft on this one.
And to re-confirm - the ATIV is a Windows 8 RT tablet, NOT a Windows 8 Pro tablet.

If MicroSoft and Juniper would just get together so a Junos Pulse app could be created for RT, I would be happy with my Surface RT purchase, and be OK with the flaky and unintuitive aspects of the Surface/Windows RT operating system. But until that happens, my Surface is pretty much only useful when I am at work, and can connect directly to my work network without the need for VPN connection. So close to being satisfied...yet so far.
Being a network admin, I find it sad that both Apple and Android out of the box can support modern day Cisco IPsec tunnels (which we use today) plus allow 3rd party developers (Cisco, Netmotion Wireless, etc.) to deliver even better clients. Windows RT has missed the boat here. We going to recommend Android tablets over this OS.

But in light of some confusion on 8 vs RT and how some people actually refer to Windows RT as Windows 8 RT, my conclusion is that by saying "Microsoft Surface RT running Windows 8" the Cisco tech must be referring to Windows RT and not Windows 8 Pro. Not that it really matters, as I'm pretty sure the built-in Microsoft VPN client is the same on 8 and RT.

I recently asked our Network Administrator if he could find out what he'd need to do to get our Cisco ASA 5520 to work with the built-in VPN client on Windows RT. Answer I got back:
From Cisco - ASA versions 8.4.5 and 9.0.1 and higher support the Microsoft Surface RT running Windows 8.
We are currently running version 8.4.4 so it will apparently be a no go at this point.
I don't have any more details, but hopefully soon our ASA will get updated to 8.4.5 and we are going to revisit this situation. Of course their comment of "Surface RT running Windows 8" is a bit confusing... but it sounds like there might be hope for the built-in client.
