VPN Client Support

The info page for the new Samsung RT tablet - the ATIV tab - says:

Enterprise Solutions (upon request): Exchange ActiveSync, On-Device Encryption, Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network), Juniper Junos Pulse VPN, EAS

But the Junos Pulse client is not in the Windows Store - so either Samsung has some exclusive deal with Juniper, or this is a "coming soon" feature.

I'd like an answer. As much as I love the Surface hardware, if I cannot get the last piece of the puzzle I need for work, the Pulse client, and it is available on another vendor's tablet, I'll need to think about switching.

I would really like an answer from Microsoft on this one.

And to re-confirm - the ATIV is a Windows 8 RT tablet, NOT a Windows 8 Pro tablet.

    How can we make pressure to make this a priority?

     

    I have no interest in the pro.  I found the Surface RT limit in term of size.   Don't want a ticker tablet with shorter battery life.

     

    If I can get the Junos VPN client I can use my surface to access my office computer when needed.

    One way is to convince everyone you know to buy a surface RT.

    More power in numbers

    Once enough people own win RT, people will bend over backwards for us.... even Google

    What a lousy answer from Cisco, since not only is the network stack the same on RT as Pro, but RT already has a VPN client... so what's the excuse? the API? Microsoft hid the RT version but not the Pro version? Bleah!

    Hello everyone,

    I will continue to update this thread weekly. At this time, we have not been given any more information as to how far along in the process the API handoff to 3rd parties is.

    Any updates on this please? as all on the forum know this is a big deal..tx
