VPN Client Support

The info page for the new Samsung RT tablet - the ATIV tab - says:

Enterprise Solutions (upon request): Exchange ActiveSync, On-Device Encryption, Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network), Juniper Junos Pulse VPN, EAS

But the Junos Pulse client is not in the Windows Store - so either Samsung has some exclusive deal with Juniper, or this is a "coming soon" feature.

I'd like an answer. As much as I love the Surface hardware, if I cannot get the last piece of the puzzle I need for work, the Pulse client, and it is available on another vendor's tablet, I'll need to think about switching.

I would really like an answer from Microsoft on this one.

And to re-confirm - the ATIV is a Windows 8 RT tablet, NOT a Windows 8 Pro tablet.

    Greetings everyone,

Michael, I know I'm a bit late answering your question, but: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_rt

We haven't been given any more information for the VPN's at this time. The request is in with the Product Team, and all I can do is keep adding to the request.

Keep trying. Last night I decided to go home without my laptop and what do you know, i received a request for workpapers. I couldn't do the work because I cannot VPN. I am in the office now getting the work done.

    Hi Steven_B,

Thanks for the update.  Where do we find the Windows RT forum?

    Greetings all,

Sorry for the delayed response. We have not been given any more information regarding VPN support. The most I can do at this point, is make a suggestion to go into the Windows RT forum and make a request there as well, so the Windows Team will see the request.

Also, I have changed the title of this thread to VPN Client Support so it is easier to search for, and will continue to merge VPN request threads into this thread so we are able to centralize information when it comes.

As long as it is standard L2TP, PPTP or SSTP you can follow this guide:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj613767.aspx

If you need a 3rd Party VPN you'll need to wait for them to release an app in the store.
