Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter with Surface Pro 3 Resolution Problem

My Surface Pro 3 is fully updated with the latest firmware and updates and the wireless display also has the latest updates.

When I have my bluetooth on and I connect to the wireless display adapter, my TV's max resolution that I can set is 1366 x 768 but when I turn my bluetooth off first and then connect to the wireless display adapter I can set my TV to 1920 x 1080.

It's kind of annoying to have to turn bluetooth off first before I connect to my tv. Is there something I can do to fix this issue?

    Tried with latest Surface pro 3 firmware just released yesterday. Still no joy!

    the reduced screen resolution problem isn't firmware. It is a "feature" that

    Intel introduced in their custom video driver to reduce the impact of BlueTooth

    interference. If a BT device other than the Surface Pro 3 Pen is active when a

    Miracast session is started, the screen resolution is DELIBERATELY reduced.

    Intel is not going to fix this.

    Hello Barb,

    Strange to hear that a feature.

    And even if it's a feature it's a buggy one, because on my surface pro 2 without any connected BT I have a reduced resolution.

    To get the full resolution I have to disable the BT.

    Before the last update (in march, see previous post) I was able to get the Full resolution even with a BT mouse connected and no interferance.

    Very frustrating situation!

    I agree. It is a stupid move by Intel. Microsoft apparently won't ask them to

    change this behavior without a huge outcry from customers and not enough are

    complaining.
