Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter with Surface Pro 3 Resolution Problem

My Surface Pro 3 is fully updated with the latest firmware and updates and the wireless display also has the latest updates.

When I have my bluetooth on and I connect to the wireless display adapter, my TV's max resolution that I can set is 1366 x 768 but when I turn my bluetooth off first and then connect to the wireless display adapter I can set my TV to 1920 x 1080.

It's kind of annoying to have to turn bluetooth off first before I connect to my tv. Is there something I can do to fix this issue?

Following this issue since the beginning. I do have a samsung tv which is not working with the surface 3 pro mircast. So i bought a wirless display adapter from microsoft.

Tried a few things to troubleshoot these problems and i believe the problem is the wireless/bluetooth chip/driver by marvell. Its a two in one chipset. You can also see wireless transfer rates breaking down and going up again when you switch off/on bluetooh during a file tranfser to a nas etc.

When i read the patch notes i was like oh my god they finally fixed my issue but i must tell this is definitly not fixed yet. While my logitech bluetooth mouse is connect i still get the low resultion bug. May firmware update installed.

I dont understand why ms is not interested in fixing this issue.

I wont return my surface 3 pro since its such a nice device while i will never understand why companys try to save some dollars using low budget wifi chipset instead of intel wifi chips which works much better ni most devices.

    Regards from Germany

I updated everything too. Surface 3 pro delivered today. I have nothing connected accept the pen.

No way to get another resolution then 720p on a samsung tv. Not in cloned mode. Not in extend display mode.

Driver rollback didn't work. Tried an older intel driver from last year too. Didn't work. Tried to disable bluetooth. didn't work. Disabled my wifi connection as it is 2.4 GHz. Didn't work.

What the hell is microsoft doing?? This is one of the most expensive notebooks with a miracast adapter by microsoft no 3rd party software installed. This is the worst out of the box experience i've ever had!!

It's a shame that ms did not give any reaction on that in public. A simple "we are working on it" would be enough. No matter what the problem is. Intel driver, other hardware driver, windows bug.

BTW: Thanks for the volunteers here for your work. It's not your fault. It's microsoft which seams to work hard on making us all switch to fruit someday.
