Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter with Surface Pro 3 Resolution Problem

My Surface Pro 3 is fully updated with the latest firmware and updates and the wireless display also has the latest updates.

When I have my bluetooth on and I connect to the wireless display adapter, my TV's max resolution that I can set is 1366 x 768 but when I turn my bluetooth off first and then connect to the wireless display adapter I can set my TV to 1920 x 1080.

It's kind of annoying to have to turn bluetooth off first before I connect to my tv. Is there something I can do to fix this issue?

    I tested it again with having my Bluetooth mouse connected before I connected to the display adapter and it connected at 1366 x 768.

    So it seems like if you have any Bluetooth device connected when you project your screen it doesn't project at full resolution. If I connect any Bluetooth device after I project at full 1080p resolution it still works fine.

    Yup. I am trying to get acknowledgement from Microsoft.

    I'm having the exact same issue. Connected to a Samsung 24" LCD monitor - 1080p. Everything else (WinPhone, Android, etc) that I pair with the Adapter works in 1080p. Surface Pro 3 works in 1080p ONLY when bluetooth is off.

    Ruth - additional information:

    • The issue appears to present itself as long as any bluetooth devices are connected (mouse, pen, etc).
    • The issue happens when the SP3 is wireless or when docked (with wired LAN and power).
    • The issue can be consistently reproduced.
    • The SP3 is fully updated.
    • The MWDA does full 1080P every single time with Android devices with no issues.

    I will be home later today and will test using my home MWDA that is connected to a different brand TV - I highly expect the same results.
