Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter with Surface Pro 3 Resolution Problem

My Surface Pro 3 is fully updated with the latest firmware and updates and the wireless display also has the latest updates.

When I have my bluetooth on and I connect to the wireless display adapter, my TV's max resolution that I can set is 1366 x 768 but when I turn my bluetooth off first and then connect to the wireless display adapter I can set my TV to 1920 x 1080.

It's kind of annoying to have to turn bluetooth off first before I connect to my tv. Is there something I can do to fix this issue?

The 19th May Firmware Update seems to have resolved this issue for me. Resolution is 2160 x 1440 before and after connection. That is with the pen, two different bluetooth mice connected (not at the same time) and a bluetooth keyboard. See below for fixes:

    • Surface Pro 3 UEFI update (v3.11.850.0) includes changes needed for compatibility with the updated graphics driver.
    • HD Graphics Family driver update (v10.18.14.4170) improves graphics performance and includes better Miracast (wireless display) support.
    • Display Audio driver update (v6.16.00.3172) improves audio experience and supports compatibility with the updated graphics driver.

Funny thing is it works smoothly with Windows 10. Though Windows 10 with SP3 is a no no at the moment in terms of stability.

This is really not acceptable. Can we please get a copy of the previous Intel driver?

I brought a Surface 3 on its launch today and it has the same problem; I guess that it will be returned soon.

Any updates on this ? I've been waiting literally for months. Does Microsoft really know the issue ?
