"First, MVPs and Community Moderators are unpaid volunteers and do not work for Microsoft. We are your best advocates for problems. We escalate to internal sources when we can, but we have not magical powers to fix anything. "
Thank you for clarification. I was barking up the wrong tree, apologies for that.
"Second, it is important to know where you are physically located. Why? Because non North American versions of the SP3 use different channels for WiFi and the North American SP3's don't support 802.11d regulatory domains. That's why I posted I was in the USA. If they are going to look at this issue, they need to know this information. I can't assume you are in the USA."
Physical location: Finland.
Huawei B593 channel: 4, 2.4GHz band, 802.11ac
iPhone 6+ channel: 1, 2.4GHz band, 802.11ac
Because SP3:s behavior with these two very different routers is similarl y inferiorcompared with other computers' wi-fi speeds in the same physical surroundings, the importance of router types & channels in this special situation should supposedly be an insignificant factor.
It's really tough to analyze hot spot performance. I've never gotten particularly good perf with my iPhone 6 (not +) and my data plan is too limited for any real testing.
With my 150 Mbps LTE (4G) data plan my iPhone 6+ has attained max 110 Mbps in Helsinki center.
