Surface 2 Speaker/Sound Problems

As someone pointed out earlier there are several separate sound issues. For me, two of them were fixed with todays update.

• No sound when disconnecting earphones.
• Crackling sound when streaming flash hd video.

There's the 3rd problem.... anything played through the built in speakers suffers from too low a left channel, a louder but still inadequate right channel, both channels sound like the speakers are blown.  I've only seen a few people with this one.

But remember, this is still under warranty and the online and voice support was excellent for me.  They walked me though some determining steps and then authorized me for a replacement.  If you guarantee with a credit card, they will ship you a surface 2 without having you ship your current one first.  You then have 14 days to send back the surface that is broken.  And after having had an Asus tablet for 3 years, this support process is 100 times better than Asus ever was!  I'm pleasantly surprised...!

If you have the 3rd, you have the other two by default, sadly....

Why is no one from Microsoft commenting on this thread?? Besides the dumb comment earlier that explained nothing. Are they just trying to ignore the problems? What do you guys think??? I'm just curious

Well, a massive bunch of Patch Tuesday updates, but nothing to fix the terrible sound.

I'm very close to just getting my money back. My expensive tablet is pretty much useless for anything requiring audio.

Like I said before, when a fix depends on a 3rd company it may takes weeks to get it. That's why I thought it was a good idea to let NVIDIA know that we are waiting.
