Surface Pro 3 High CPU load when idle, high system cpu load

Has anyone else noticed that coming out of sleep or herniate results in unwarranted high cpu load from system interrupts?

I have all the latest firmware and updates loaded. But using sleep even sometimes a cold boot I get this issue.

How can I fix this please. Its killing my battery life.

Oh!! I just checked it again as I wanted to make a screenshot and now it's working! I don't know what changed. The only thing I did was that I originally enabled Hyper-V but when it started interfering with my WiFi connectivity I disabled it again, so maybe that's what was necessary.. I used to have constant high "System Interrupts" process running, but disabling one by one I found out that an Adobe startup process was causing it, so I disabled it and it seems to have fixed the issue. Either way, thanks for your responses!

Dear Clare,

No, this is not what I was asking. Please refer to the original question.

Perhaps you may have something running in the background.

Cool setup 😊. I do not experience any problem with the System interrupts exe. I think that many Windows RT users who download whatever pdf files on their devices can also be impacted by this, leading to a horrible experience and inability to propel the Windows 8 experience into unparalleled productivity scenarios.

I have the i5/8GB RAM/256GB SSD Surface Pro 3, and it has 151GB of free space on the Windows partition.  Thanks for the tip, though.

    FYI ...

I use it primarily for work (mostly Office 365, Visio, OneDrive and VS 2013) and there are very few programs installed on it compared to my previous PCs.  This is the fewest set of apps I've had installed on my personal PC in a long time -- probably in the last 10 years.

However, shortly after moving to the SP3 I have removed everything I don't need every day for my job (network analyzer, games, Zune, etc. -- yup, gave up my grandfathered Zune account) to give it as little to do and as much room as possible to do it with to try and eliminate this single problem.

I now have another laptop (a Lenovo P400) I use for those things I don't use on my SP3.  So, since going to the SP3 I now maintain two PCs to do everything I want -- ironic, considering I wanted to reduce the footprint of my PC and accessories and instead I increased it.

Below is my desk nowadays:  on the left side is my SP3 in it's docking station that is sitting on top of the chiller to keep it cool when System and System interrupts spins out of control, on the right side is my P400 connected to my 23" monitor and Turtle Beach headset so I can game, run a database engine, etc.  I move the keyboard, mouse and speakers between them when I need to.  Not very convenient.
