Surface Pro 9 lagging after sleep but only until power supply is conected

Hi,

I have a MS Surface Pro 9 and after waking up from sleep the screen is always sluggish (i.e. the mouse moves aren't fluid). However, as soon as I plug the power supply the lag goes away and is away even when I unplug it.

I've done a diagnostics but couldn't find anything.

Any ideas what could be the root of this problem? I don't have anything ressources intensive that is running.

    I had the same issue. Someone on reddit pointed out a workaround that works for me!

    Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B

    Your device should make a beep sound, I think this shortcut reloads the graphics driver or something. Anyways, it works!!

    I just bought a brand new surface after my last one finally died. I have had the same issue from the very beginning. It's very frustrating to be experiencing this on a brand new device! My IT guy doesn't seem to know what the issue is and I really hope Microsoft remedies this issue ASAP.

    By the way, I did have success downloading the intel control panel and turning off self refresh. I hope this helps gets their attention.

    I had the same problem and I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the display driver.

    I tried the Intel Graphic Command but somewhere somehow i screwed something up and my device refuses to charge over USB-C.

    Contacted Microsoft support and told him all I want to do is for him to open a case so that Microsoft is aware of how widespread this problem is. The guy refuses to do file any case until I agree to hard reset my device.

    I did that and the USB-C charging issue is gone but the sluggish display after sleep remains.
