Hello,
My surface pro 4 pen needs to be re-paired via bluetooth after the computer has been sleeping/hibernating in order for the eraser button to function when clicked. It still shows up as a connected device in the bluetooth settings, and still writes properly even when the eraser button does not work. After removing the pen from the list of connected devices and re-pairing, everything seems to work properly but this is obviously inconvenient. Thanks for any help you can offer!

The update will be available April 11, but on April 5th, customers who what early access will be able to manually trigger this update. You will need the Creators Update and the first Cumulative Update.

2017-04-02T08:41:04+00:00 I have just installed Creators update plus the latest update package and the the problem has gone away. The pen switch now works perfectly after restart from hibernation.

To address your concern, we suggest that you reinstall your Windows 10. Follow the steps on this link on how to clean install Windows 10.
Note: Make sure to back up all important files and program installers from your computer using an external drive.

2017-03-28T23:52:53+00:00 I have had the same problem now for at least a month. Every time I boot my Surface Pro 4, from sleep or from complete power off, the Marvell Avastar Bluetooth is disabled. I have reloaded from scratch twice and it does not help. From the thousands of posts, all over the world, it is obvious that this is inherent to something changed in an update, but it should not be our job to troubleshoot the issue. Enough people are experiencing the issue, that Microsoft should own up to the problem and provide a fix, since it happens on a 3 or 4. The length of time this has been reported is inexcusable for someone like Microsoft to not have provided a fix for it. I also have an HP Elite X2 and never have an issue with the Bluetooth or pen. I work for a major healthcare equipment manufacturer and we would not dream of letting our customers experience an issue this long, it shows lack of direction, commitment and customer support care.
Can someone at Microsoft champion an effort to fix this widespread issue?
